A nomad cannot survive on wit alone. In order to successfully survive in a diverse set of conditions, you need to be prepared. You need to have the right equipment.

The basics of nomadism, are the same as the basics of wilderness survival. First and foremost is shelter. Without shelter, a human is doomed to a swift death. Second is sustainance. You need to beable to obtain and carry water, and food, to live… its common sense. The third tenet of the monad, is While the modern nomad could just get a job, he may at some point find himself in a position to live off of the land. So, the basic gear of the monad, is tailored for wilderness survival, and kept lightweight, multi-purpose, and low maintainance.
